Weekend Update (Aug 18)

Hey everyone.

Just a small note to begin with. Tuesday will mark a full year since my last day as the only writer for HJC. 5 writers joined the team and the first post from one of them came on August 21, 2012. Amazing how time flies.

Darren's, J3's, and Matt Mc's concepts were sent to Brian and he will choose a winner. Once I hear back from him the winner will be announced and contacted via email.

I do have to say that it was very disappointing to see only 9 people (including myself) vote. There were 20 entries and you are allowed to give yourself a 2nd place vote. Also, anyone can vote. Ah well.

A new competition now springs up. Chris from the Hawthorne PD wants to start a youth hockey team and he needs a jersey designed. Click the banner at the top of the page or go to the HAWTHORNE COMP tab to get all of the details.

The COTW nominees for the week of August 12-18 have been listed on the side of the page. Yes, that's correct there are only two concepts that were properly nominated and seconded. Anyone can email in their vote and voting ends on Friday

I meant to post these a couple of weeks ago. Someone requested Jake88's helmet and gloves template that he has being using on his Euro team concepts. So, here they are. These will now also be on the TEMPLATES page.
